Modus Operandi
Rescue & Comprehensive Rehabilitation
There are a number of people on the road who do not beg for alms but lay helpless in their depravity, hoping that someone would aid them from their misery. They suffer with Chronic illnesses such as HIV, T.B, Broken Bones, Open injuries, Mental issues etc. Such people, noticed by Commuters, helpful individuals, the press or the police and they inform us about their situation through our 24/7 helpline number.
Once brought to our knowledge we pick up these people in a fully equipped ambulance, after receiving a letter of clearance from the police department and bring them to our shelter home.
We look into their vitals and perform all preliminary examinations, blood work and evaluate, based on their need, the degree of care they require. We then work to rehabilitate them with all the facilities we have at our disposal. Our shelter then becomes their home and they, our family, for however long their health permits. Of all the people, 80% recover from their physical and mental problems under our care.
Some of the rescued people are reunited back to their families, some pass away in a dignified manner but most of them stay with us until the end.
A Visionary Leader with a Mission
Turning Adversity into a Lifelong Commitment to Serve
Jasper Paul, the visionary behind Second Chance Foundation, transformed a near-fatal accident into a lifelong mission of compassion and service. What could have been a tragedy became a turning point, igniting his unwavering dedication to rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring dignity to the abandoned and destitute.
Jasper began rescuing the homeless at the age of 19 back in 2014. He was joined by his wife, Therisa who left her IT job and a masters course abroad to serve the needy in 2018 and together they have rescued more than 3000+ people from the streets of Hyderabad. They are passionate about the dying and work tirelessly to provide a second chance for all those who need it.

The greatest privilege in life is to serve those who can offer nothing in return.” – Jasper Paul
